I love having fresh flowers in my house. Trader Joe’s normally keeps my house stocked with fresh blooms, cheese and chocolate molten cakes. Thank heavens for Trader Joe’s right? I thought I would share my fool proof $10 floral centerpiece formula that I have used over the years for Thanksgivings, parties and just because.
Its so easy! I switch out the feature bloom depending on what is available but the base stays the same, the $2.99 eucalyptus bundle. Its the perfect base for all sorts of flowers.
Start with a vase that has a 6″ or so opening, fill 1/3 to 1/2 the way with water and arrange your eucalyptus bundle with different heights to be a bed for your feature flower.
Then I put the feature bloom in one sprig at a time. I cut the stems at an angle at varying heights to add interest and work my way around the vase to fill it out.
Easy peasy! I’ve used anything from peonies, roses or hydrangeas to be the feature bloom depending on what is available. Below is a Thanksgiving tablescape I did with white hydrangeas and that is one of my favorite combos.
No matter what flower you choose the basic idea stays the same so you can recreate it over and over. So there you have it, a super easy fool proof arrangement that works every time. If you hang around my instagram (acreativedayblog) long enough you will see this arrangement pop up a lot! Let me know if you try it!
