Hello Greenville!
It’s Kathryn here for my weekly update on my Sportsclub360 Experience. This week was a great week for me and I was so happy that the sun finally showed up just in time for the weekend! For Week 11 I’m going to share with you my early morning gym session, an update on my triathlon from this past weekend and my Spa 360 experience.
This week I had an early morning gym session when I was in the gym at 5:30am. I’m definitley not an early morning person but I do consider myself more of a morning person than a night owl. I always have trouble waking up that early during the work week, but I dropped my parents off for an early morning flight and figured I would just workout before work. And boy are morning work outs the way to go! There were so many less people and you feel so much more ready to take on your day! During my workout I did 15 minutes cardio and some Olympic weightlifting as well as body weight exercises. The best part was the FREE coffee afterwards to really wake me up! Now I’m definitely ready to try and to get to the gym more often in the mornings.
On Saturday I completed the Middle Tyger Sprint Triathlon in Duncan, SC. This triathlon is part of the South Carolina Triathlon Series and it was a blast! It started early at 7am with a 400m pool swim. The swim was great because the pool is a 50m and has 8 lanes, which helped any swimming traffic. After the swim, I ran into the transition zone to jump on my bike for a 14 mile ride through the beautiful country roads. It was a little hilly, but a great course. After the bike I threw on my running shoes to run a 5K that started on a trail and went onto paved roads. It was such a great event and I even won my age group! I think all my training with weights and on the equipment at the Sportsclub was a tremendous help to build up my strength.
After the triathlon I finally tried out the Spa 360 at the Sportsclub for a 30-minute therapeutic massage. It was such a good idea to do this after the triathlon, so I could relax and get all the lactic acid out of my body. It was my first massage and wow did it feel good! I got my neck, back, and arms massaged and it felt so nice. The Spa360 is conveniently located right inside Sportsclub and offers all spa services from massages, facials and waxing. The environment was so soothing and they provided lemon water, and made you feel so comfortable and soothed. It was such a great way to recover from my triathlon. I recommend this spa for anyone looking to treat themselves!
I’ll see you again next week. Until then!
Kathryn
