Hello again!
It’s Kathryn here. I have officially completed my first week at the Sportsclub. It was quite a hectic week for me personally with Easter weekend and family in town. However, I find working out helps with these busy times. Going to the gym or going on a run is my “me” time where I think, reflect, and plan. So I have the Sportsclub gym to use all week was great!
I had my first meeting on Wednesday to begin my journey in the p.r.e.p. program. What is p.r.e.p? p.r.e.p is a 60-day physician referred exercise program that introduces individuals to exercise. Even though I regularly exercise and am very active, p.r.e.p. is an awesome program for anyone going back to the gym after an injury, time off, or someone new to the gym. I am just sorta doing a trial run of this sessions since I am not exactly the demographic for it due to my high activity. Although, it will be great to have a set program for the next two months to help me meet my fitness goals!
For the first session, I met with the registered nurse for a quick consultation of my current health state and the goals I want to obtain in this program. I am very fortunate to not have any health issues, so I flew through this process and made some goals to tone my muscles and improve my endurance for a couple triathlons and runs I have coming up. The registered nurse was so nice and concerned about my goals that I could tell this program is very impactful for people just beginning to workout again. It was also a plus to get a free 30-minute massage that I will definitely be using very soon!
After my consultation, I set up my first session with the trainer this upcoming week to come up with a program to challenge myself to get stronger. I am excited to start this journey and update you next week on my first few sessions.
Stay tuned again next week as my Sportsclub360 Experience continues. Have a great week everyone!
