Hey, Greenville! I’m Amanda. It’s a pleasure to meet you! I have recently started interning with Greenville360.
Similarly to you, Greenville is home. My family moved here when I was only five years old, so I can almost call myself a native. While I was growing up, I saw the Swamp Rabbit Trail become a reality and downtown expand with businesses. I have many great memories that I have collected here in Greenville.
I became involved with the downtown scene when I started modeling. I attended Millie Lewis modeling agency for beginner, advanced, and professional modeling classes. Most of my first photo-shoots were in downtown Greenville, where I truly learned the art. My first runway shows were here in Greenville too. My first runway shows where Fashion Greenville (anyone remember that?) and a benefit runway show featuring designer Carmen Marc Valvo in Spartanburg. Watching Greenville grow into a fashion hub since I’ve been young truly sparked my interest for fashion, business, photography, and marketing.
Marketing is my true passion. You will find me studying at North Greenville University as I conclude my final semester as a marketing major. One day, you will find me developing a brand, connecting with people on social media, or building a business.
Photography is another interest of mine. If you spot me downtown, I will likely have my camera in hand capturing the beauty this town has to offer. I enjoy interning at Greenville360 for this reason – I get the chance to document the essence of the city I love through photographs.
If I am not at the Greenville360 office, at North Greenville University, or at my full-time job, you can find me in a number of places. You may find me grabbing a coffee at a local coffee shop. I could be perusing downtown, browsing shops, or trying local restaurants. You might find me hiking the numerous trails the Carolinas offer us. I love fitness, so you could even find me running through Cleveland Park.
We will be getting to know each other as I write more posts on greenville360.com. I am excited to join the 360 team as their latest intern. I look forward to discovering more of Greenville, and sharing those discoveries with you!
