Family, travel, the outdoors and Greenville. These are a few of my favorite things. If you asked me to name one thing I couldn’t live without, it would be breakfast food.
Shhh… don’t tell the kids!
Founded by Stewart Penick, Terrace Restaurant promises “Southern Cuisine with a Twist.” Have you had breakfast at Terrace on South Main? I’ve had dinner there, and you should too, but only recently discovered that breakfast is one of their specialities.
Although choosing from a seemingly endless list of entrees was not easy for me, there are three you’ve got to try. The Lemon Poppyseed French Toast will give your life new meaning. That’s saying a lot, since I am not a fan of lemons. It was like biting into a piece of pound cake. How does caramel, apples and whipped cream sound? I’m not talking about ice cream, I’m talking about Caramel Apple French Toast that will blow your mind! The waitress put syrup on the table, but it almost seemed like a crime to use it. Terrace is famous for their Red Velvet Waffle drizzled with cream cheese icing, often topped with a piece of southern fried chicken (pictured below.) Are you hungry yet? I could go on and on, but you didn’t come here to read a book. Be sure to visit their website (click here) to view the entire menu.
The moral of this story is simple. Roll out of bed and down Main Street (directly across from Pedal Chic) to enjoy an unforgettable breakfast experience.
You can thank me later.
