We wanted to write something in regards to the devastation that has taken place in the Upstate and our neighboring state of North Carolina. Words cannot adequately describe the heartbreak of so many. Here in our city, families still do not have power and/or internet. Local businesses need them to move forward.
By now, you’ve probably donated your time and resources. We’ve seen you, Greenville, and watched you show up in countless ways. It’s been a beautiful site. Today, we thought we’d share a handful of ways to help and a few things we thought were important to know. These are in no particular order. Actually, there is no order to anything I’m writing. Anyone else’s brain completely scrambled right now?!
Montgomery Sky Farms,Chef Taylor and Fran Montgomery breathed new life into a one hundred year old farm they now call home. Located in Western North Carolina, Hurricane Helene washed away all of their crops. How did they respond? The heroic duo (our words, not theirs) began cooking hot meals and feeding neighbors. The best way to help their efforts is through monetary donations. Venmo:@montgomeryskyfarms and PayPal: finalrunrescue@yahoo.com. Keep updated via their social media channels. I’ve shed many tears following along the past week.

We’ve barely touched the surface of the efforts in place. Hopefully this list will help you decide where to plug in.

360 Travels was in Alpharetta, Georgia this past weekend. The Friendship Ring (pictured above) is located at the Alpharetta Community Center and brought tears to my eyes. Forming a ring of relationships truly is the only way to get through disastrous events like Hurricane Helene.
We are so proud to be part of such a caring community!
