Ville to Ville Relay

On April 12th, runners from across the nation will embark on an exhilarating 72-mile journey from Asheville, North Carolina, to Greenville, South Carolina. The Ville to Ville Relay, now in its eighth year, has earned its reputation as one of the most celebrated one-day relays in the country. This year’s event marks a record-breaking milestone, with 380 teams and approximately 2,300 participants ready to hit the road.
Founded to honor the region’s rich craft beer heritage and stunning natural landscapes, the Ville to Ville Relay has drawn participants from 34 states and Puerto Rico in 2025. “We are incredibly thankful for the enthusiasm and support of our runners,” said Zack Hall, Race Director. “It’s a privilege to showcase the beauty and community of Western North Carolina and the Upstate.”
Teams of three to six runners will conquer 12 legs of varying distances, ranging from three to nine miles. A support vehicle will accompany each team, transporting members between designated transition areas along the course. The adventure begins at A.C. Reynolds Middle School in East Asheville and continues through Fletcher, Hendersonville, East Flat Rock, and Travelers Rest, before culminating in a lively finish-line celebration at Hampton Station in Greenville.
More than just a race, the Ville to Ville Relay is dedicated to giving back to the community. In addition to supporting Hurricane Helene relief, this year’s charity partners include Izzie’s Pond, Speak for Animals, Talisman Programs, the Upstate Running Club, Trinity of Fairview, Feed & Seed, and many more deserving organizations.
The event’s popularity speaks for itself—the 2025 race sold out in just eight hours. “We are thrilled by the continued excitement surrounding Ville to Ville,” Hall added. “It’s a joy to host a healthy, safe, and unforgettable event that benefits such important causes.”
Although the 2025 race has reached capacity, runners eager to join next year’s adventure can mark their calendars—registration for the 2026 Craft Brew Relay opens on April 13th. For more details, visit villetovillerelay.com.
