Hello, Greenville!
It’s Kathryn again for an update on my Sportsclub360 Experience for the month of July. Wow, summer has flown by! But it’s been so wonderful. This was my first summer in Greenville and it’s been my favorite season with all the events and activities like all the downtown music and Saturday’s Farmers Market. I’m very excited for the Fall to get here for some less sweater weather.
With the Summer it’s brought lots of afternoon storms, which has made me lift and workout at the Sportsclub most evenings after work. Having a great health club is so nice on super hot summer days or rainy evenings to still get a workout and get the heart beating after sitting all day at work. So I’ll give you a little taste of my workout lately and tell you about all the great events Sportsclub has to offer!
I’ve been loving my little warm up lately which has been about 15 minutes of cardio. I really like to switch it up between the treadmill, rowing machine and stair stepper. This is how I get my muscles loose and warm before lifting any weights. After my cardio I pick my body movements for the day (legs, biceps and back, triceps and chest.) I have been utilizing some machines lately to go with my Olympic weight lifting and dumbbell training. I find variety is key for my workouts both mentally and physically. Sportsclub is great because they have so many different types of machines, equipment and classes to complement my workout to fit my mood for that day.
I have now tried 4 different classes and have enjoyed every single one! If my timing matches up with classes I enjoy them because of the group environment and the commitment to actually taking the class! My cooldown is always a great stretch and roll out to ensure I’m properly taking care of my muscles. After that it’s smoothie time! I have tried the Berry Blast, that it was delicious and made me feel enough until dinner.
One thing that has really caught my eye at Sportsclub has been all of the events and socials they offer for their members. Some examples includes nutrition seminars, Taco & Tennis socials and kids programs. They offer something for everyone and it’s truly a wellness club that encompasses wellness, fitness and health!
That’s all for now. But stay tuned next month as I will officially be starting their iStart program.
