“Best pizza I ever had!” Was the review from my 8 year old brother, Matthew, after tasting a ridiculously large bite of Seedlings’ pepperoni and cheese pizza.
Seedlings is The Children’s Museum’s new and first ever interactive farm-to-table restaurant located on their lower level, that’s complete with indoor and outdoor seating along with plenty of fun activities and props for young customers to get their hands on and learn first hand! The options are not complete without a full lunch menu for all ages! Whether you’re a “Seed” (portions appropriate for toddler and preschool aged children), a “Shoot” (portions appropriate for elementary aged children), or a “Root” (adult portions), Seedlings offers a variety of fresh, farm-to-table options, including vegan and gluten-free friendly choices.
Matthew opted to try their “Build Your Own Pizza” under the “Shoots” menu, and loved personalizing his meats and veggies for the perfect pie. I decided to go with “Cluckin Cobb” from the “Roots” menu, with the balsamic vinaigrette dressing, and the fresh lettuce, colorful array of veggie toppings and perfectly cooked bacon that did not disappoint!
Besides providing great a great mid-museum-day lunch, Seedlings is a fabulous addition to The Children’s Museum’s already fun and engaging environment. Every month, the restaurant partners with TCMU to highlight one local farm or health-focused organization and then get to meet the farmers who grow the food!

As always, thanks for reading!
