Run with TreesUpdate on Turkey Day…
TreesUpstate believes in the social, economic and environmental benefits of planting trees in and around the Upstate of South Carolina. One of their initiatives: plant 25,000 trees in 10 years. And so far they’ve already successfully planted 15,000 trees in the last 6 years!
As you can imagine, trees are not cheap. So TreesUpstate each year uses donations, events and grants to plant trees and maintain spaces to keep Greenville beautiful. One of their annual events is the big Turkey Day 8k/5k on Thursday, November 28th in downtown Greenville (945 S. Main Street to be exact!) Like each year, the Turkey Day celebration will include several different events for runners of all ages.
