‘Tis the season and there’s no better place to celebrate than Greenville! Today, we’re highlighting a few happenings here, but check out the Interactive Holiday Map to make sure you don’t miss anything.
A favorite holiday tradition is back at the corner of Main and Broad Streets. United Community Ice On Main is open seven days a week, except Christmas Day. The ice isn’t set to thaw until closing on January 20th. The website lists several promotional days and extended hours when school is not in session.
Make your way to M. Judson Booksellers on Friday, December 6th at 6pm. That’s where you can watch Mayor Knox White and Jane Robelot light up Greenville’s 30 ft Christmas Tree! Enjoy live music while you peruse food trucks and various vendors. Santa Claus will even drop in on the festivities. The very next day, Saturday, December 7th, at 6:30pm, Main Street comes alive with bands, floats, and fun during the Poinsettia Christmas Parade! Get there early and save your spot! You’ll want to stroll through town to see the Window Wonderland. Downtown merchants create a holiday mood with creative window displays. Local non-profits and school groups decorate the plazas with grand postcards.
Saturdays in December (7th, 14th & 21st), Santa will be ready to enjoy breakfast with all who will come to Fluor Field at the West End. In addition to a breakfast buffet and hot chocolate bar, children can visit Santa’s Workshop for ornament crafting, stocking decorating, and more!
Residence Hill & Springhill Suites features the 3rd Annual Greenville Holiday Gingerbread Exhibit, December 4th-25th. Professional and amateur bakers cook up elaborate creations to compete for prizes. When you visit, be sure to vote for your favorite!

Children can enjoy crafts, games and story time. Go ahead and plan to make a day of it – do not leave without checking out White Christmas: The Exhibition. Greenville is only the second city in the United States to host the 2,000 square foot exhibit! (That is a HUGE deal!)
Fun Fact: White Christmas is the highest grossing musical film of all time! (Now is not the time for me to admit that I’ve never actually seen the movie… adding it to my To Do List now!)
Pull out your calendars and plan to take in the sights and sounds of Christmas in Greenville!
