Meet the faces behind Landscape GVL…
Tired of countless hours of yard work each week? Yeah, us too! So we knew we had to find a local landscaper! We started our search on Google and eventually found the perfect local business on Instagram called Landscape GVL. The landscaping company was founded by two high school friends and built off a common entrepreneurial drive. Let’s go meet the faces behind Landscape GVL, Cameron Ledford and Miguel Vieira!
360: How did the idea for Landscape GVL come to life?
Cameron: The vision for Landscape GVL came to life as I was working installs with my furniture company, Ledford Billiard Supply. I noticed multiple crews servicing the same home. When I asked the homeowner who does their lawn they said: “to be honest, I’m not sure. It’s a different guy every week.” I was raised to take pride in my work. With the furniture company that’s our creed. We treat their furniture as if it’s our own. So when I heard this, I started researching. Everything from landscaping, the competition, searching for an opportunity to offer the market place a reliable service at an affordable price. Obviously the large companies were prominent and highly-priced, but most people were using their neighborhood, uninsured guy in a truck earning a side hustle.
Landscape GVL comes to life continued…
Cameron: Ironically enough; a friend approached me about starting a business. I recommended landscaping. It was something we had experience with when we were teenagers. Since I already had the vision, we hit the ground running! We have switched somethings up since then and we have a new partner. Miguel approached me about starting his own landscaping company at the same time I was looking for a new one. We made an easy win/win deal. It really ended up being a great deal. Because of my other business dealings, I really needed someone with availability and a strong work ethic to fulfill the day-to-day operations and Miguel was able to fit right into an already established company.
360: Tell us how you guys first met.
Cameron: We were both in the same class of 2012 at Greenville Senior High School and were members of the baseball team.
360: What kind of services does Landscape GVL offer?
Cameron: If it’s outside for your yard or business then we offer it! Such as commercial and residential Landscape Management. Our services include lawn care/maintenance, mulch, sod, aeration, lawn treatments, hedge trimming planting, hardscape etc.

360: What’s your favorite part of the job?
Cameron: Our favorite part of the job is seeing our customers’ faces when their landscaping dream or idea comes to life. The relationship we have after the service is just as important to us. Our service means as much to us as the relationships we establish.
360: What’s next for Landscaping GVL?
Cameron: Our first priority is growing the company we have to better service the Upstate. As we grow, we will eventually be expanding. We are focusing on building a solid foundation for expansion. Right now, we are developing business systems to eventually expand to other counties starting with Spartanburg. We are flirting with the idea of Franchising. It’s not common with a service business such as lawn care, but personally, we live outside the “box.” So if the right people come board anything is possible.
360: When you’re not landscaping around the Upstate — what do you love to do? Go!
Cameron: As hard as I work, I like to play just as hard. I enjoy traveling, working out and creating memories with friends. I’m also known to be around a blackjack table from time to time.
Miguel: I’m an outdoor junkie! Whether it’s paying in various sports leagues or playing golf, if there is any free time I’m outside.
