There’s a new brewery in town, Greenville! Introducing Wild Yarrow Brewing located at 603 E Stone Ave in Greenville. Wild Yarrow opened this past April and has already immersed themselves into our community’s already strong local craft beer scene. We recently got the chance to sit down with one of their owners, Aaron Dowling about how the brewery came to life, what makes them different from the rest, their weekly events and more.
360: How did the idea for Wild Yarrow Brewing come to life?
Aaron: We love the concept of bringing a sense of place into brewing beers. Wild Yarrow is all about bringing local ingredients that reflect Upstate SC into each glass of beer.
360: What makes Wild Yarrow Brewing different from the rest?
Aaron: We relentlessly focus on producing high quality beers of various styles and serving them in our relaxed, community focused taproom.
360: What’s your favorite part of your job?
Aaron: Creating new beer recipes. And getting to see our guests enjoy them as I am serving in the taproom.
360: What types of events do you have in the taproom?
Aaron: We always have something going on. Events range from music bingo, live music and fundraisers and more. We even have a vinyl night where people can bring in their own records to play. You can check out our events calendar here.
360: What styles of beers do you enjoy brewing?
Aaron: I love to make traditional Lagers and Saisons. Hoppy beers are always fun as well.
360: When you’re not brewing, what do you love to do in Greenville?
Aaron: We love to take our dogs hiking up Paris Mountain. We also enjoy visiting all of the other great breweries and restaurants around town.
