“Financial Planning isn’t just for the wealthy, but for those who want to get there.” Wealth Management can be confusing, daunting and even scary. Enter Woodmark Wealth Management to channel all those emotions! Whether you’re just starting your first job, or planning out your retirement, it’s Woodmark’s mission to provide reliable advice at an affordable cost. To get a better understand what Woodmark Wealth is all about, let’s go meet Daniel Milks of Woodmark Wealth Management.
360: How did the idea for Woodmark Wealth Management come to life?
Daniel: The idea for Woodmark Wealth came after identifying a group of people who are underserved in the industry. Financial Planning and Investment Management are services that everyone needs, rich or poor. After seeing the lack of care and even rejection of services with a certain level of assets (usually around $250,000), I knew there had to be a better way.
360: Tell us a little bit about your background. How did you get involved in wealth management?
Daniel: I always knew that I wanted to live a life without financial restraints. I quickly learned this was impractical, but instead I could create and live a life that would be fulfilling and meaningful if I planned accordingly. So upon graduating, with a degree in Management and a minor in Finance, I worked with experienced advisors in a supporting role, learning the ins and outs of the business – everything from how to do a wire transfer to managing a portfolio with millions of assets. But after years of working for the corporate machine, I knew I could do more for clients than what they had to offer. So I took a few months to fully dedicate myself to the CFP exam, and after passing launched Woodmark Wealth Management.
360: What makes Woodmark Wealth different from others in your industry?
Daniel: Woodmark Wealth is different in many ways, but most of all in that we provide service to people in all stages of life with no asset minimums and treat everyone like family. Whether you are just starting your first job, or planning out your retirement, it is Woodmark Wealth’s mission to provide reliable advice at an affordable cost.
360: How does one decide between the different services you offer?
Daniel: All of our customers have the option to receive two principle services, Financial Planning and Investment Management. But there are 3 different “packages” that will fit each clients wants and needs. For the person who has loyalties to their current brokerage firm but wants to consult a professional for advice and planning, or the person who is looking to invest for the first time, we have a service model for them.

360: What’s next for Woodmark Wealth?
Daniel: Building our family. We hope to expand to people across the country and are constantly looking for new ways to make our services even more reliable and affordable.
360: If you could leave us with one piece of advice in wealth management what would it be?
Daniel: Start early. If you’ve never heard the saying “compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world”, it’s true. In fact, the investor who makes contributions at age 25 and ends at age 35, will have more than the investor who starts making contributions at age 35 and ends at age 60.
360: That’s great. Thanks, Daniel! We look forward to seeing your new company grow. We’ll be calling you soon for your services!
