Summer Fun at TCMU
Parents are counting the days until school begins and children are searching for new ways to entertain (for lack of a better word) themselves. The Children’s Museum of the Upstate to the rescue!
Just a reminder of weekly events for all ages: Storytime & More, Tuesday-Saturday at 11am and 12pm; Open Art Studios on Wednesday and Friday from 1-4pm and Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9:30am-12pm; steamWORKS, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 1-4pm; Healthy Hustle, Tuesday and Friday from 10am-1:30pm.
If you happen to live in the “upper” Upstate, The Childrens Museum Spartanburg’s weekly program times are: Storytime & More, Tuesday-Friday from 10am-12pm; Open Art Studios, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 2-4pm; steamWORKS Jr., Wednesday from 2-4pm.
The Museum in Spartanburg is geared toward pre-schoolers, so they are having a super-special event Friday, August 5th. Come join the fun at the Countdown to Kindergarten – a FREE community event from 6-8pm
If you have a child celebrating a birthday, here’s the perfect venue. The Children’s Museum of the Upstate makes party planning a breeze. Admission is included for all party guests. Take advantage of all three floors before, during, and after the festivities. Enjoy a private party room while a personal host handles everything. Set/clean up, food, photos with festive backdrop and all activities are included.
Speaking of birthdays, The Children’s Museum of the Upstate will soon be celebrating its’ 13th year! This birthday bash on Saturday, July 30, will be for children over 21 years of age! Your ticket ($75 individual, $135 couple, 10% member discount) includes two drink tickets, kid-inspired bites from CHEF360, The Science of Beer with Think Tank Brew Lab, live music from the 2000’s by DJ FWB, 2009 trivia & art activities, plus a 360 photo booth by 360 Memories.
