Bon Secours Wellness Arena has succeeded in creating a welcoming environment for all fans!

The Sensory Suite at Bon Secours Wellness Arena is located in Section 105. McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture, with help from Meyer Center, Project Hope Academy, Center for Developmental Services and parents, has created a unique place for guests with sensory sensitivities. The room offers a calm, inclusive space for guests who may become overwhelmed by the sights and sounds of live events.
Along with the ticket, guests are given Sensory Safety Kits, including fidget tools, noise-cancelling headphones, ear plugs, and glasses to guard against glare. Lighting and sound controls at your fingertips are thoughtful additions, reflecting the arena’s commitment to support inclusion. Comfortable seats include bean-bag chairs for younger, agile visitors. There’s even a smaller room within the glass box for kids to explore!

“The Sensory Suite launched in 2019 after reviewing our offerings for families and while ensuring the Arena’s commitment to inclusiveness and accessibility extended to the fan experience. We believe live events should be a welcoming experience for everyone and we’re dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where people of all abilities, including those with sensory sensitivities, can enjoy music and entertainment in comfort and confidence. Our Sensory Suite provides a space that allows for memorable and special experiences for the entire family to enjoy together.” General Manager, Beth Paul
Personally, I have never attended an event at Bon Secours Wellness Arena, with Jackson and JP, that we did not have to leave early. In JP’s words, “it’s all just too much.” After experiencing the Harlem Globetrotter’s game from inside the Suite, JP sent me a text that said, “I had fun tonight, it wasn’t overwhelming at all.”
The Sensory Suite is open for shows that have a 360 Stage and when the Suite is within sight lines of the show. There is no additional cost to utilize the suite! Ticket prices align with the cost of the seats directly under the suite, in the same section.
