I can’t believe it took us so long to discover this spot. Probably the fact that I’ve never been a fan of coffee had a lot to do with that. You’re going to be so proud of me. I am now an Iced Mocha Latte (with almond milk) drinker! The first few times I tried it, I felt a little “buzzed.” If I’m being honest, it freaked me out a little, and I almost low-key panicked when I got home. Now that I am aware of what Espresso is (does), I fully embrace the “high!”
Cohesive is so much more than coffee.
For over five years, Cohesive Coffee has been serving up tasty treats for the Greenville community. Their belief is displayed on the wall…”Every drink is a work of art.” Literally, that’s what you’ll find in this unique corner shop at The Junction at Downtown Airport. We recently asked owner, Josh Williams, what made him open up a coffee shop… “We moved to Greenville in 1991 to farmland right down Woodruff Road. I did ministry for about 15-18 years. When I stepped out of that season, I wasn’t sure what to do. I loved coffee and I loved people, and I found a way to put them together, and that seems to be working so far.” We agree with you, Josh, it is working very well!
Atmosphere is everything and Cohesive Coffee has it all. With indoor and outdoor space, “Everyone has a seat at the table” (another wall hanging). Josh and staff brew specialty coffees and teas, just the way you like ’em. For any coffee naturalist, who prefers their coffee without all the extra stuff, Cohesive drips the best black coffee on the east coast, according to a local coffee connoisseur!
Seasonal specials are popular additions throughout the year. There’s even hot chocolate for kiddos to enjoy while parents sip cappuccinos and lattes. Dear parents, there’s a changing table in the exceptionally clean restroom!
Tables with charging stations make perfect work spaces. Looking for a spot to meet friends and chill? Cohesive has a seating area with comfy chairs and games. Or, grab a book off the shelf and read.
Sundays, at 5:00 pm, The Gathering Place Church meets at Cohesive Coffee. This cozy cafe can meet any need you have. Contact them for your next party, shower, or work event!

On a more personal note…
My eighteen year old son, JP, has autism. For the past year, he and I have been discussing possible job opportunities. Social situations are debilitating, so working with the public is most likely not an option. Recently, we’ve discovered that he has a passion for painting. You can find his work at Cohesive Coffee! Josh and, business partner, Blake, go out of their way to support JP. In the next week or so, he will begin working on large canvases for the shop to display on their wall. If I let myself, I could ugly cry. Watching people support your child does something to the inside of your soul.
