When spring arrives in Greenville, it brings more than blooming dogwoods and warmer evenings along the Reedy River. It signals the return of one of the Upstate’s most beloved traditions: baseball at Fluor Field! As the Greenville Drive prepares to launch its 21st season, the organization is doing what it has done well for two decades – blend baseball with community. The Drive has long called Fluor Field the city’s “Front Porch,” and in 2026, that porch is getting a few exciting upgrades. From the new culinary offerings and upgraded suites, to technology improvements and expanded community programming, the upcoming season promises to elevate an experience that many locals already consider the best night out in town.

More Than A Ballgame
For many Greenville families, a night at Fluor Field is about more than baseball. It’s fireworks, kids chasing foul balls and the hum of conversation drifting through the West End as the sun sets behind the replica of the Green Monster. The Drive’s reputation for accessibility and affordability continues to be a cornerstone of the organization. In fact, the team is currently ranked Minor League Baseball’s most affordable organization. That commitment to community access remains central as the Drive enters its next chapter. “We remain relentlessly focused on access for everyone,” Drive President Jeff Brown said in announcing the upcoming season. “We’re always looking for new ways to improve the Fluor Field experience for our fans, our players, and our community.”
A “Suiter” Experience
For fans who enjoy a premium game-day experience, Fluor Field’s luxury suites have undergone a significant transformation. The renovated spaces now feature floor-to-ceiling glass overlooking the field, upgraded cabinetry and finishes, and modern amenities like induction cooking surfaces and large HD televisions. The refreshed suites are designed to accommodate everything from corporate gatherings to family celebrations. Technology upgrades will help keep things moving smoothly. A newly expanded Wi-Fi network, provided through MLB’s official provider, Extreme Networks, offers five times the bandwidth and expanded coverage throughout the stadium. For fans grabbing food between innings, the new Shortstop Self-Serve Market – located behind home plate – brings a fast, grab-and-go experience with self-checkout technology designed to keep lines short so you can keep your eyes on the field! One of the most exciting changes for 2026 is happening behind the concession stands. The Drive recently welcomed Executive Chef, Austyn McGroarty, founder of Woodside Bistro, and a competitor on the Food Network’s Chopped. His arrival signals a fresh approach to ballpark dining. Fans can expect creative additions like vegan nachos, classic chicken wings, a rotating menu items inspired by visiting teams’ hometown flavors through the new “Hot Dog of the Homestand.” Sweet Caroline’s will also debut new ice cream flavors including Gooey Butter Cake, Red Velvet, and Cherry Vanilla – all powered by Blue Bell Ice Cream. For longtime Drive fans, the 500 Club will continue serving favorites like Philly Cheese Steaks and Meatball Subs.

New Traditions & Returning Favorites
The 2026 promotional schedule blends fan favorites with new themed nights. Among the highlights:
- Art In The Park in May, celebrating the region’s creative community
- Wold Soccer Celebration Night in June
- Kids Take Over Night in August
- Women In Sports Night highlighting leadership and opportunity in athletics
The Drive’s popular Workforce Development Nights will also return, connecting young fans with potential career paths in fields like engineering, aerospace, healthcare, and innovation. And, of course, NO Greenville Drive summer would be complete without Friday Night Fireworks!
A Ballpark for Everyone
One of the most meaningful aspects of the Greenville Drive, is the organization’s ongoing commitment to inclusion. Fluor Field continues to offer accessible seating throughout the stadium, sensory-friendly spaces for guests who may need a quieter environment, and adaptive opportunities that make the game welcoming for fans of ALL abilities. The Drive also regularly partners with community organizations that support individuals with disabilities, helping to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to experience the magic of a night at the ballpark.
Greenville’s Front Porch
Since opening in 2006, Fluor Field has played a major role in the revitalization of Greenville’s West End. Modeled after Boston’s Fenway Park, the ballpark offers a uniquely intimate baseball experience that has produced more than 130 Major League players and earned national recognition as one of the country’s best minor league stadiums. But for many Greenville residents, the Drive represents something bigger. It’s where first dates happen, where kids see their first home-run and where summer nights stretch a little bit longer. With Opening Day just around the corner, the Front Porch is about to fill up again. The 2026 Greenville Drive season begins April 2 at Fluor Field, with Opening Weekend presented by TD Bank.
