Sweet Caroline Open at Sportsclub…
Calling all racquetball fans! Pull out your new calendars and take note. Even if you’re not a fan of racquetball, mark your calendars to support a local charity!
January 24-26, the Sweet Caroline Open is returning for its fourth year. The Ladies Racquetball Tour along with The South Carolina Racquetball Association, Sportsclub Fitness & Wellness, and OB Hospitalist Group will host the annual international tournament. The three day tournament brings the top twenty professionals in the world and over one hundred amateurs from across the southeast to our beloved town.
The Sweet Caroline Open operates solely on the generosity of community sponsors. Each year the Open chooses a charity to receive the proceeds. The 2020 Charity is Safe Harbor Domestic Violence Center. There are six different ways to sponsor the event – Title Sponsor, Gold Sponsor, Silver Sponsor, Bronze Sponsor, Table Sponsor, and Donor’s Choice.
Safe Harbor is a private, non-profit organization committed to helping victims of domestic violence in the upstate of South Carolina. Currently, forty full-time and twenty part-time staff join forces with over three hundred volunteers to make a difference in the lives of victims and their children. Safe emergency shelters, counseling, assistance with Orders of Protection and transitional housing are just a few of the services offered at Safe Harbor.
Make your way over to 712 Congaree Road in Greenville for fast-paced matches and help support the efforts of Safe Harbor.
Can’t make it? You can also attend the Sweet Caroline Open Banquet on Thursday, January 23rd at Greenville Hilton on Haywood Road. The banquet will include cocktails starting at 5:30pm and at 6:30pm.
