Things To Do in Greenville SC
Tracing the Intangible is a two-person exhibition featuring artists Tyler Hoff and Jonathan Bolton. Through miniaturist sculpture and extensive mark-making, works showcased in this exhibition provide opportunities to navigate densely packed skullscapes and hazy drawings to uncover and reevaluate implicit narratives. In explorations of memory and storytelling, Hoff and Bolton place spans of 5-minute and 5-millenia on equal footing.
Tyler Hoff is a self-taught artist based in Greenville, SC with his wife and two sons. His miniaturist sculptures invite viewers to comb through excessively detailed landscapes and bygone narratives that seamlessly emerge from skeletal foundations.
Jonathan Bolton is an artist from Greenville, SC. His drawings use extensive mark- making and uncanny disruptions of 2-dimensional space and form to highlight the malleability of visual and narrative perception.
