Sake 101: A tasting with Chris Johnson, The Sake Ninja

Unless you’re a seasoned sake drinker, browsing the sake selections at your favorite local bottle shop (that’s us!) can be a little intimidating. What do terms like Junmai, Ginjo, or Nigori mean? With this tasting, we hope to walk you through the ins-and-outs of sake appreciation and we’re bringing an expert along to help out.
Chris Johnson — aka The Sake Ninja — is the National Sales Manager for World Sake Imports and sake sommolier, and he’ll be guiding us on our journey to learn more about this often misunderstood beverage. We’ll be tasting through six sake selections — with a variety of styles — paired with special small bites curated specifically for this event.
Tickets are $35 and include six wines + small bites. Reservations are required and space is limited!
