Things To Do in Greenville SC
Set Free Alliance, a Greenville-based non-profit organization that focuses on rescuing children from slavery and providing fresh water and medical aid to Africa and India, will host its annual fundraising Gala in September, celebrating 20 years of missions and life-changing results.
In addition to celebrating two decades in service, the Gala will provide a platform for the organization to update attendees on their accomplishments across the globe for the last year—including their being selected as a finalist for Fast Company magazine’s World Changing Ideas awards for their Child Slavery Prevention Program.
Set Free began almost 20 years ago with a focus on building wells in Liberia, Africa. Since that time, the organization has grown through an extensive network of indigenous partners to provide clean water to more than 2 million people on two continents, rescue more than 40,000 children from slavery, baptize millions, and plant thousands of churches. Find out more about Set Free on their website, SetFreeAlliance.org.
