Our local business culture continues to grow in Greenville. You will notice more business communities are popping up in & around downtown. These business communities provide local businesses with a brick-and-mortar store front. You may already be familiar with Hampton Station, but did you know that two others are coming in the near future? We’ll tell you more below!
Hampton Station is an established business community located in Greenville’s Water Tower District (1320 Hampton Avenue Extension). Hampton Station’s resident businesses include White Duck Taco Shop, Birds Fly South Ale Project, Noble Dog Hotel, Craft Ax Throwing, Lever Gear and more! The community is also home to plenty of artists’ studios or exhibits inside Art Up Studios that include artists Tanya Stiegler Designs, Ric Standridge, “Art Meets Science” by Lou Koppel, “Outside the Lines” by Nicole Kamb and more.

One upcoming business community is Markley Station, which is nestled in the Historic West End of Downtown Greenville (116 Markley St.) This 43,000 sq ft development will feature retail, restaurant and office space in 4 different buildings. According to the Upstate Business Journal, a few of the announced restaurant tenants include now open Todaro Pizza (a pizza originating from Clemson), Hoppin’ (a self serve tap room originating from Charlotte), and Urban Wren (winery.) Parking is now available both on the property and across the street.
Another upcoming business community is Gather GVL, which will be located at 126 Augusta St. Gather GVL refers to their upcoming community as “Greenville’s Kitchen Table” because of the numerous food and beverage businesses that will be residing in the community. Renovated shipping containers will house the tenants. A few of their announced partners include Cocobowlz, The Pasta Addict, Greenville Beer Exchange (GBX), and Rocky Moo. You can find the complete list of Gather GVL’s partners & more information about the upcoming gathering space by clicking here. Currently being constructed by local general contractor, Base360.
And there’s more! Enter the new under-construction retail community, The Junction at Downtown Airport (at 301 Airport Road to be exact!) It’s expected to fully up and running by this June. It will make home to 42,000 square feet of White Duck Taco’s 2nd Greenville location, new coffee shop Cohesive Coffee over 1,700 square feet, personal trainers at Brits Brothers, Adrenaline Dance Fitness, Nill Silver Photography, urban winery Elevation 966 and more to come.
Lastly, look even further than Greenville and head to Five Forks in Simpsonville! Where this 10k+ square feet development will be new homes to Greenville businesses Tipsy Taco, Sidewall Pizza and Soul Yoga to name a few (with 3k+ square feet still available.) This new business development is expected to be completed by this summer at 2613 Woodruff Road.
