Your Healthy Body at TCMU
A new exhibit has come to The Children’s Museum and we’re ecstatic! Our friends at the museum invited us to check things out a day early. Preston is my early morning go-to guy. And he LOVED this exhibit!
Your Healthy Body officially opened to the public on Saturday, March 12th. Each station is interactive + educational. Preston is studying the human body/anatomy this year, so the timing couldn’t be more perfect. The newly renovated anatomy tour features three-dimensional organs for you to explore.
Younger medical professionals will enjoy dressing in paramedic gear and driving the ambulance. Next, they move on over to the “hospital,” scrub up, and operate on Buddy the Bear.
The heartbeat drum was my personal favorite – Preston jogged in place to increase his heart rate! Mine was a little faster than his and I was standing still. It’s probably a good thing I don’t drink coffee.
Sponsored by Prisma Health Children’s Hospital, the goal is for “children to experience a healthcare environment in a stress free space in the hopes of reducing anxiety should they experience clinical settings in real life.”
