Clean Eatz is a restaurant and meal prep service located on Pelham Road. Their goal is to provide healthy properly portioned meals that easily fit into a busy lifestyle. While there are lots of meal prep options in Greenville, Clean Eatz’s scale has enabled them able to drive the cost down and make it one of the more affordable options. I tried the meal prep menu specifically, but they also have a grab and go freezer for takeaway meals as well as a dine in restaurant.
For the meal prep, a new menu is sent directly to your inbox each Thursday. You can review and place your order online until Sunday at midnight. You can choose from 5, 10, 15, and 21 meal packages with prices ranging from about $6-$7 per meal. Once you place your order you simply head to Clean Eatz on Monday (or Tuesday if you’ve customized anything) and pick up your food and pay. The pickup process is seamless. I have to say the Clean Eatz crew has really thought that through. You can quickly check out and grab your meals without needing to go into the main restaurant area or hop on the regular line. The whole process took about 1 minute.
I got the 21 meal package, which in theory would be 3 meals a day for 1 week. The meals stayed fresh throughout the week and the best part is that they freeze well so nothing was wasted. I still have about 6 that are sitting in the freezer just waiting until I’m ready. You don’t have to be afraid of over ordering because you can simply freeze and save any additional meals for later. Particularly helpful if you want to order a large quantity and drive the cost per meal down.
Overall, the food is tasty, easily customizable, pretty affordable and easy to grab on the run. If you wan’t to add a little extra something, it’s pretty easy to add your won condiments and tweak to your liking too. I do have to warn you, that not all of the food is super “clean” as the name would imply. It’s definitely healthier than some alternatives, but if you’re extremely cautious about your ingredients pay close attention. For example, with the breakfast option I received a sugar free packaged syrup that wasn’t necessarily up there in my ideal list of clean foods. However, it was easy to swap.
If you’re looking for something that will help simplify your life, but won’t break the bank I’d recommend checking them out and starting with some of their grab and go freezer meals if you aren’t ready to commit to a full package. You can check out meal prep options here!
Until next time!
